A little help

To all and any that are reading this blog,

I am still stuck creating the website. I would very much like to continue the course but am unable to do so without a functioning website.

So as it stands I have paid for hosting site name etc. but cannot make the download link for an ebook work or create a sign up option in order to create an email list.

If anyone knows how to do this and is willing to teach/show me it would be much appreciated.

Time allocation

Well as many of you may have noticed I have not been posting all that much recently. Simply put it is because it seems to take me far longer to do any of the tasks set out than it should- mostly because of my lack of internet skills.

At the moment I'm still stuck on week two of the course trying to get my site etc. to work the way it is supposed to, but without much success.

This programme was supposed to take around 1-2 hours per week. While for the first week that was fine but once I got stuck and couldn't get the level of help I needed from Mr Evans I have been a bit remiss about putting the time in.

At long last

Well at long last I have gotten another response from Mr Evans. He has now sent lesson six which he promises contains all the answers I need. I am sceptical I haven't had a chance to have a proper look through yet I should be able to make a start tonight, so stay tuned.

And in case anyone was wondering I haven't made any money yet. But I have had to pay for website hosting amongst numerous other things. So I really hope things pick up or this will have proven to have been an expensive waste of time.

Another Update

Well at long last I have heard back from Mr Evans. He has not really solved the problem but has instead offered to send lesson 6 to me now as it apparently covers the problem in detail.

I'm a little sceptical as it seems silly (to say the least) to have the details on how to do something released four weeks after instructing someone to do something. So I have my doubts as to whether it will solve the problem. Even if it does to my mind it says something about how the programme has been organised.

Still waiting

Well as you know I have been having a problem setting up the site as laid out within the programme. I sent Mr Evans (the chap that runs the programme) an email asking if he could help or advise me on what to do, as the programme states that if you have any problems you should contact him. I have not heard back yet but it has only been a day.

I will keep you posted, hopefully some progress can be made soon!!!

Sorry for the delay

Sorry about the delay in posts. I have been away for a little while and am just starting to get back into the swing of things.
I have started week two of the programme and things are starting to look a bit more challenging. We have to get a website online and start building a mailing list, don't worry it scared me a bit at first but it is all explained in the programme.
Although, that said I have been struggling to get a download link set up on my website so I have asked Mr Evans for help. As soon as he responds and the site is working I'll post a link here.

A little update

Well I have been practising building websites in my free time as the course advises. And hopefully tomorrow I'll have one to show you. The course so far hasn't been to demanding and nor has it made me any money but I think it is building momentum.

I get the feeling, from what I have seen and done on it so far, that this course is going teach me some relatively basic internet and marketing skills. Along with a rough business model from which it is possible if improbable to make some reasonable money from. The success (again from what little I have seen so far) will be largely dependent on how good become at marketing and your ability to use the internet effectively.

Week One

So I just started the programme today. It is looking fairly straight forward mostly relatively easy internet tasks, the first of which being to start a couple of webpages for practice and familiarise myself with an auto responder.
But I'm assuming the pace will pick up as the programme progresses so stay tuned for more updates and maybe even a website link or two once things get going.

What is this all about?

I, like many of you, have seen more than my fair share of adverts saying you can make obscene amounts of money online easily. Again, like most of you I tend to simply see them as scams or other forms of malicious content.

But I thought why not give one a go and see what happens at worst I’ll lose a little bit of money and be a little wiser. So I decided to sign up for a ten week online mentoring course run by Robert Evans to see if it would work.

I will be keeping a blog every week giving updates on how the programme is going or whether it is scam or simply common knowledge repackaged with a mark up.
